(*) The Profit or Results Participation Plan was formalized in 2004.
1) In 2004, the Company expanded the recycling encouragement actions through the creation of 30 new Pão de Açucar Recycling Stations, in partnership with Unilever, and collected 2.5 million kilograms of recyclable material. Currently the project is active in 83 stores and involves 10 recycling cooperatives and 6 cities public administrations. In addition, 44 million PET containers and 19 million aluminum cans was collected by the Recycling 10 Program, which allows the conversion of garbage donations made by the client in purchase tickets or donations to Fome Zero.
2) Fome Zero Project allowed the collection of more than 3 thousand tons of food donated by 1,100 entities related to the communities surrounding the stores. In addition, another 760 entities throughout the Country were supported by the partnership against wasting, which distributed products in consumption condition and inappropriate for selling.
3) The National Book Collecting Campaign of the stores of the Extra chain collected and donated 335 thousand books to the Quero Ler – Biblioteca para Todos Program, which the main purpose is to encourage reading and eliminate the number of cities without a library.
4) CBD does not use child or slave labor.
